The S.S. Karnak is a large paddle steamer that travels down the Nile River. She was built in 1909 and still features all of the original Edwardian appointments.
My inspiration came from reading 'Death on the Nile'. The setting for that story is the 'S.S. Karnak' which is travelling down the Nile.
After doing a bit of research on Cataract Steamers I decided to base the appearance of the Karnak on the S.S. Corona.

In my spare time over the past week I came up with the general arrangement of the Karnak's rooms. In total there will be five decks. I still need to polish things up a bit before I add the deckplans, but for now I shall leave you with my first sketch of the Karnak. It is not a representation of the final layout, but it provides a general idea, and it also gives you a near perfect example of the arrangement/design of the smokestack, mast, flagpoles, vents, and paddles.

I should think the Karnak to be a unique addition to Mr. X's fleet.
And might I add that there are no portholes on the Karnak. The windows in the hull (Decks C and D) should all be square, teak framed vertical sliding windows.
