Hello, I just watched alot of Bioshock trailers, and for some reason I started thinking about The Ship hehe, and then i started to think that it could be cool with a map featuring "dark" and eerie elements. Like, that everything in the map isnt all clean and bright, but rather hallways that are lit by the moonlight through windows, dust swirling around in the air and like a dark whinecellar with shelfs filled with whinebottles etc :o
Now, if I didn't suck at mapping I would try and make this kinda map myself, but.. I DO suck at mapping, so.. But anywho;

*A big room where there is like a party, or a ball or something with a band playing some creepy music. (NPC's who are standing idle and 'playing instruments' with some music playing in the background)
*Dark corridors with dust in the air
*Some basement-ish room(s)
*Spooky sounds like wind, floorboards creaking, ghostly "whispers" etc.

Soooo, this is just like, an idea I have, and something that could probably look kinda cool and could be a good switch from the regular walking around an ordinary cartoonish ship trying to find weapons then kill someone.



And also, just a non-related suggestion, how about weapon-placements that look alittle more "in place". Like, instead of having a candle-thingy in some drawer or box, maybe place it on a table, and just stuff like that.
I love this game ;)

I do love this game, too. :D

I like your idea but it should be a map a small map.
I wouldnīt like playing this map long....around 30 minutes.
Because I think itīs different and kind a cool but not the normal, very exciting "the ship" feeling, so donīt turn this game into something like HL2/Fear/Doom :P

...but that would be very nice...I think there should be many more maps.

omg i would love it if there was a spooky map an if there were ghosts floating around be really scarey lol :D

Even I toned down the jolly atmosphere with Fawlty Towers, the CSS version is during the day while The Ship's is at night during a storm.

Honestly, part of this was to help differentiate between the two versions, but it was also done because the whole nervous feel of not knowing who your hunter may be is even further heightened with a hostile environment :)

I'd like to see this too, but I also agree, it would not be a map to play all day. Because your senses are doing serious over-time, it'll be draining!
