I think a pirate ship would be awesome to add a little variety, also while playing it I couldnt stop thinking that other settings other than ships would be great. like trains, mansions, castles etc.

You're silly. And tell me, where would we find the shops on this pirate ship you speak of? Or how's about a restaurant?

A pirate ship is certainly something that has been considered, and I wouldn't rule it out as a possibility, but as Dela pointed out the more distant you get from the core "cruise ship" locales, the more difficult it becomes to put together the range of rooms and facilities needed for the gameplay without the map being horribly contrived. Sure you can throw in some ATM's and vending machines, security cameras/guards, pool cue racks and fire axe containers, but it doesn't really come together naturally.
As I said, I wouldn't rule it out as possibility, but I just thought I'd chime in with some justification for why is hasn't been made as of yet :)
PS. In case you didn't notice, there is a "map suggestions" sub-forum within this forum. I'm sure one of the mods will probably move this thread in there, and in future if you could use it for any map suggestions it would be good. Thanks :)

I'm sure that will happen around the time the SDK is ready, if not sooner :)
