This idea is kind-of obvious, but I think would break up the otherwise repetitive apperance of the ship's existing maps. It would involve an outdoor island area and a broken-up cruise liner on the beach. It would look and play sort of lord-of-the-flies with some new weapon types (sticks and rocks).

An area divided such as this (ship vs. shore) lends itself to other sorts of gameplay as well (think ctf), but I don't think it would fit in with the spirit of the ship's gameplay (there are no teams in the ship although this may change if crew positions become playable...)

Another idea is simply to use a resort type place which would have all of the amenities of a cruise liner, but be stationary. Personally, I wouldn't think it would be worth the time to develop, but would provide a break from the repetitive scenery of the current maps.

What if:
Theres the island, not too big or else you would NEVER be able to find your quarry with things washed up like deck loungers, chairs, liferings, small room furishings from the upper decks and various weapons.....and then theres the ship....which has it's door off making a ramp or something and the inside of the ship is tilted and part underwater....possably with air pockets in some rooms. The room unfixed things such as dressers, trunks, boxes, bedside tables and lamps are all messed around or against one wall.
It's hard to help your needs as the only bathroom is somewhere hard...such as an air pocket... or the doorway is blocked or collapsed so you have to find a hole in the wall. The ship's restraunt would be completely wrecked so the only place to eat would be eother a fridge washed up or in the kitchen....once again maybe air pocket/door blockage and the only place to drink would a drinking fountain somewhere. The ship itself could be a edited existing ship...for example the maria dora(?) (I always forget the name of it....you know..the two word one...) The island could consist of 4 beach areas (beach 1, beach 2, ect.) The shipwreck area, The wash up zone and the forest/jungle/whatever. Wow, just the idea got me going on...and on...and on.

I dunno I think they should just maybe make like bigger fancy ships... I dunno... I have yet to play the game...Hopefully tonight!

I thought of this idea like a month ago, but never bothered to post it yet! I was thinking of lots of cool trps like, the engine room is part underwater and when your quarry is walking through the water you can push a switch that sends electricity through the water killig them instantly. Another idea for a trap would be a number of water-tight doors that close for a few seconds. You can crush your quarry under the doors, and maybe for one it will trap them in a boiler room filled with water, and they would eventually drown.
I think it should just be in the middle of the ocean (no island) and it is tilted into the water next to a large rock (or maybe iceburg?). If it was an iceburg then if you knock someone in the water, they would die from freezing.
The map name shuold be for example SOSTitanic (of course it wouldn't be the titanic). Sry for the long post. I got excited.

I really like the idea of a holiday resort on some remote island- could have cabins, a short promenade strip with shops and a couple of resteraunts, maybe some jungle a beach and a volcano?

Lots of room for imagination here, think if it was done well it could be something exceptional.

The Shipwreck would be cool too, but I think it kinda limits what you could do in terms of amenities and such..

I only mentioned the island because it's in the first post. Personaly I would just like it too be in the middle of nowhere with an iceberg too....
The water in engine room thing sounds like a cool idea....what if there was a secret area where a machine came off the wall with powerful tool weapons like the crowbar and such in it but to get to it you had to pull a switch to open a water tight door...maybe there are stairs on the other side going down that are flooded up to the top...then you dive down under into the area with the weapons in another room up some stairs on the other side of the flooded room whixh are flooded just to the top or slightly into the room so that if a hunter sees that their quarry is in 'flooded engine room' or 'flooded crew quaters' (or maybe on of those Mr X meeting rooms only accessable from where the machine was torn off as the real secret door is caved in or something) he or she could pull a switch just outside the water tight door (Which has another switch on the other side for the secret-goer) that turns on the machine that was ripped off the wall and the wild wires sticking out of the wall electricute the water and kill the quarry...unless the quarry is standing on a desk out of the water or something)
Wow...It's surprising just how much I can say about one thing.

One idea: Guns in a vault on the LOWEST level. This would add suspense to the "get guns and shoot anyone who questions you in the face" aspect of gameplay.
